Lasagna Bolognese

Lasagna Bolognese is a layered pasta casserole featuring rich ragù, creamy béchamel, and sheets of pasta. It’s hearty, satisfying, and ideal for family gatherings or holidays.

Ingredients

  • 500g lasagna sheets
  • 2 cups ragù (ground beef, tomato, onion, carrot, celery, garlic, wine, herbs)
  • 2 cups béchamel sauce
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese
  • Olive oil and butter for greasing

Instructions

  1. Cook lasagna sheets according to package instructions.
  2. Grease baking dish with butter.
  3. Layer pasta, ragù, béchamel, and Parmesan, repeating until all ingredients are used. Finish with béchamel and cheese.
  4. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 30–40 minutes until golden.
  5. Rest 10 minutes before slicing.

Tips

  • Use fresh pasta sheets for a delicate texture.
  • Make ragù ahead for richer flavor.
  • Don’t skip resting—the layers need time to set.
